Returns & Exchange Policy

Our policy is applicable up to 14 days of the client receiving the garment. If 14 days have passed since you have received your order, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused (not worn), unwashed, in the same condition and in the original packaging that you received it in. Additionally, due to covid-19, when repacking the returning item(s) please ensure that you wash your hands before doing so and repackage it in a clean condition/environment.

 

Additional non-returnable items:

In order to start your return process, we require a receipt of payment or proof of purchase by means of an order number or the confirmation email that you receive when ordering from the JC Brands online store.

Please do not send your purchase back to the our warehouse without contacting us first. This could lead to loss of parcel, incorrect receipt of parcel or damage of the parcel. This would be for your own account and JC Brands cannot be held liable for this.

 

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted, for example:

 

Refunds (if applicable):

Once your returned item(s) have arrived at our warehouse, we will sanitise the packaging and then inspect the item(s) for any defects. Once that process has been complete, we will send you an email / WhatsApp / Instagram DM (whatever our method of communication has been prior to the time) to notify you that we have received your returned item(s) and whether you are eligible for the refund / exchange or not. 
If you are approved, and you would prefer a refund rather than an exchange, we will request your banking details and once you have provided us with it, your refund will be processed, or a credit will be made on our store (at your request) within 5 working days. 

It is the client's responsibility to send the item(s) back to us for an exchange / refund, at their own cost, if they are not happy with how the pants fit or if they ordered the incorrect size. Should they want an exchange, JC Brands will resend the item they would like at JC Brands own cost. Should the client request a refund, the amount refunded will be the value that they paid for the pants at that time. The delivery costs cannot be refunded by JC Brands as that is a set expense.

If the pants arrived and has a defect that was not caused by the client and the client has not worn the pants for an extended period of time then JC Brands will pay the cost of collecting and sending a new pair with no defects (depending on the defect). If stitching has come loose then JC Brands will pay the cost of collecting the pants from the client, fixing the pants stitching and sending it back to the client.

 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable):

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at jcbrands16@gmail.com with your order number and with the information on the item you are wanting a refund for.

 

Sale items (if applicable):

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately final sale items (i.e., Clearance Sale, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.) cannot be refunded. However, they can be exchanged should the client need / want a different size or colour. The client is responsible to ship the parcel back to our warehouse and they are responsible to pay an additional delivery fee (R120) to have their return item shipped to them. JC Brands Shapewear is not liable for any loss of parcels sent to us by the customer.

 

Exchanges (if applicable):

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged beyond repair. We offer exchanges to clients if they need a bigger / smaller size or they want a different colour because the colour they initially bought doesn't suit them.

Gifts:

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift discount code will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and she / he will find out about your return.

 

Shipping address for exchanges / returns:

To return your product to JC Brands Shapewear, you should ship your product via the most convenient courier to you to our warehouse. Please contact us for the address.

 

IMPORTANT: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping (R120) will be deducted from your refund. Additionally, if the item you want to exchange was bought on a final sale (i.e., Clearance Sale, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.) then you are required to pay an additional delivery fee (R120) for us to ship your exchanged item to you.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
